Renovation and addition to transform a banal suburban drive-in insurance claims centre into a new prototype teaching clinic, with a high quality staff working and teaching environment and a supportive, non-institutional patient care setting. Parking lot areas reclaimed as a large quality staff garden with pond and waterfall, and an entrance wetland outside the patient waiting room and main entrance to connect people with the calming and restorative benefits of nature. The Centre opened to patients only 8 months after TCA were engaged. Recipient of City of Hamilton Architecture and Urban Design Award of Excellence in 2007.
