Title: lumens

Hope is a feeling that is a sanctuary and shines light into darkness.

With it, one can recognize what they can achieve and are therefore able to believe in so much more.

Home is a word that provokes an image of love and protection. It is a place of shelter greater than that of just a house.

Unfortunately, there are so many within our community that lack both hope and home. Unique circumstances and lost opportunities have taken their lives down a path enclosed by darkness.

This light fixture is intended to shine a light on an issue that is often far too removed from our minds and daily activities. Through the design of this object, we wish to build public awareness regarding poverty and social housing issues. More importantly, this light is a source of inspiration to provide guidance and illuminate the way for those to get out of the dark and out of the cold.
